“It has been wonderful to have a resource like Earle Baum Center to refer people who need help with their lack of sight.” – Mike B.
Mike has been a volunteer at the Earle Baum Center for about 10 years now, and it has been an incredible journey. He first discovered EBC when he joined the Lions Club, and from the very start, he was impressed with the exceptional level of care and dedication provided by this organization.

Mike volunteers at the Earle Baum Center once or twice a week to lend a helping hand wherever he can. In our interview he stated, “It’s a labor of love for me, as volunteering is a passion of mine. I believe in giving service to where it is needed, and Earle Baum Center is one such exceptional place. Not only does it give me a sense of satisfaction, but it’s also a way for me to give back to society.”
As a volunteer at the EBC, Mike helps out with irrigation, as well as with various events hosted by the Lions Club. For Mike, it’s a “privilege to be part of the vibrant and supportive community at Earle Baum.” As a member of the recently merged Montgomery Village and Santa Rosa Lions, he looks forward to continuing service journey at Earle Baum, helping where he can and supporting the work we do.
For Mike, and other Lions in his chapter, the opportunity to give back to the community and “contribute to such a wonderful organization is an experience that is truly priceless.” He hopes his story will inspire others to join in helping at Earle Baum Center and to experience the incredible sense of fulfillment that comes with volunteering.
